Evergreen Lawn was founded by Troy Simpson in 1997 as a lawn maintenance business. In 2006, Troy’s lifelong friend Kevin Motley joined the business as partner. Troy and Kevin met through tobacco farming as kids, and the hard work and dedication they learned during their upbringing translates into the way they run the business to this day.

Evergreen has grown to become a full-service landscaping company that focuses on creating and maintaining premiere outdoor environments. Our mission is to be a quality turnkey solution for all landscaping needs and form relationships that create customers for life. We take pride in the fact that we still serve our very first client to this day.

  • Troy Simpson

    PRESIDENT

    Troy founded Evergreen in 1997 primarily as a mowing service. With a background in agriculture, he recognized that proper nutrient management and horticulture practices would provide a better quality lawn and landscape for his clients. Lawn fertilization and irrigation services were added in 1998. Under his leadership, Evergreen Lawn has evolved to be one of the premiere full-service landscape providers in the region. He graduated from Averett University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Troy is a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator and provides strategic guidance for the company.

  • Kevin Motley

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Kevin joined the business as partner in 2006. As a third generation farmer, he brought over 20 years of agronomy experience to the company. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Averett University. Kevin is an ICPI Certified Paver Installer, Certified Segmental Retaining Wall Installer, Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator, and Certified Fertilizer Applicator. He leads the landscape and hardscape divisions and has been invaluable to the long-term success of the company.

  • Sandy Simpson

    SECRETARY AND TREASURER

    Sandy has been a crucial part of the business since its founding and served as sole office support for over two decades. She has an Associate of Applied Science from Danville Community College, and she developed all of our office processes and procedures. Sandy leads the administrative efforts in the office and the daily office operations.

  • Andrew Parker

    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

    Andrew started at Evergreen in January of 2020 as a landscape technician and has grown to become a vital member of our team overseeing our maintenance, turf services, and irrigation divisions as well as interfacing with customers. He received a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from James Madison University. Since joining our company, he has become a Certified Pesticide Technician and a Certified Fertilizer Applicator.

  • Grace Simpson

    DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

    After growing up in the business, Grace joined as an official member of the team in July of 2022. She completed her undergraduate degree in business administration with a minor in ASL and her Master of Business Administration from Liberty University. Grace works to strengthen our business through strategic development projects, customer service, and contributing to the day-to-day office operations.

  • Paciano Perales

    TURF SERVICES MANAGER

    Paciano has been with our business since 2007 and has a background working in agriculture. He manages our turf services division overseeing fertilization, disease control, and insect control working alongside our spray technician and turf services crew members. His years of experience in multiple areas of our business and leadership skills makes him a key member of our team. He is a Certified Pesticide Technician.

  • Humberto Martinez

    MAINTENANCE MANAGER

    Humberto has been working at Evergreen since 1999 and currently serves as manager of our maintenance division and our solar services. After years of experience in the business starting out as a crew member, Humberto has the knowledge and expertise to manage crews efficiently and effectively. Humberto is a Certified Pesticide Technician.

  • Hugo Porto

    HARDSCAPE MANAGER

    Hugo has been with Evergreen since 2007 and currently manages our hardscape division. He has years of experience installing hardscapes and working on landscape jobs at our company. His creative and artistic approach adds immeasurable value when bringing a customer’s vision to life. He takes great pride in his work and his commitment to quality makes him an invaluable member of the team.

  • Floriberto Torres

    SPRAY TECHNICIAN

    Floriberto began his career at Evergreen in 1999 as a crew member. He currently serves as our spray technician working directly with our turf services and maintenance divisions. He also contributes to solar site maintenance jobs. Floriberto is a Certified Pesticide Technician.
